What time of day should I feed my dog?
Anchor meals to your own routine rather than fixed clock times: breakfast shortly after you get up, dinner once you're home for the evening, with the two meals roughly 8–12 hours apart. Dogs thrive on consistency relative to the household's day — which is exactly how this planner schedules them.
Should I feed my dog lunch?
Most healthy adult dogs do fine on two meals a day and don't need lunch. Puppies are different: under about six months they still need a midday meal because small stomachs can't carry a full day's calories in two sittings. If nobody is home at midday, a timed feeder, a neighbour, or a dog walker can cover that one meal.
How many times a day should a puppy eat?
The AKC's guideline is four meals a day up to about three months old, three meals from three to six months, then two meals from six months on. This planner tracks those switch dates from your puppy's birthday and tells you in advance when the schedule changes.
